Designed to make it quicker and easier to shoot, the complete system includes the stainless steel and aluminium Holster designed to hold the camera, the Plate to attach to the base of the camera, the Pin for connecting the plate or camera to the Holster and a Belt to mount the Holster on. The Holster incorporates a locking pin to hold your gear in place when not in use providing added safety and security and the belt is designed to fit waist sizes 25 to 56 inches. More
SpiderPro Camera Holster
At the heart of the Spider System is the SpiderPro Camera Holster. Stainless steel and hardened aluminium cast, the SpiderPro is extremely durable and designed specifically for active shooting situations. The SpiderPro has a two-position lock. In lower position the lock secures your camera each time it's placed in the holster. In upper position - the lock disengages for quick and easy access to your camera.
Get more carrying comfort with the Spider Plate. The Spider Plate is made of cast aluminium alloy and screws to the bottom of your camera and will allow you to shoot vertically using your camera's vertical grip and easily connect your tripod quick-release for tripod use.
Spider Holster Belt
The Holster Belt is secure, light and extremely durable. It is specifically designed for the heaviest pro camera bodies and lenses and allows you to carry/shoot with your SpiderPro comfortably for hours. The Holster Belt is made from similar webbing materials to those used in army/police equipment. It has a triple-lock buckle, 2" belt and reinforced Holster area.
Handy to have around, the Spider Pins are cut from stainless steel and can be attached to the Spider Plate, directly to the base of your camera, or to the tripod mount on your lens ring. The Spider Pin has a hole so it can be tightened using the wrench provided with the Spider Plate.

In 40+ years of using SLRs and DSLRs I have never got on with camera straps. They get in the way when I am using a camera and have limited use for carrying one. Round my neck they bounce about in front of me, over one shoulder they also get in the way and always seem ready to fall off. Over both shoulder and neck is great for carrying but makes the camera hard to use. Every camera I have had gets the supplied strap fitted - and then removed after a couple of days.My camera accompanies me when I am motorcycling around Europe so large gadget bags are hard to accommodate so I normally end up just carrying my camera in my hand and not bothering with a choice of lenses. Then along came the Spider Pro.No more cameras swinging around my neck causing discomfort and waiting to be damaged. My camera is firmly clipped to the Spider Pro bracket and comfortably sits at my waist ready for use in a couple of seconds. If it is wet it sits under my coat, and the locking clip makes the camera secure in crowds and still easy to use.The Spider Pro belt is strong and well made, long enough to cater for the most obese photographer and has a large pad for the camera to rest on. The belt buckle is the same as that used on many police equipment belts so should be pretty secure and if I want to carry a couple of extra lenses Tamrac lens cases fit on easily.Just to see how well the belt preformed I tried it with the unlikely combination of my Nikon D7000 with battery pack, 200 mm tele lens and Nikon flash. Even that lot was comfortable to carry and easy to use.If there is a downside it is the price but [$] for a belt that is carrying a couple of grand in kit is not so bad. If you use a DSLR get one of these, you won't be disappointed.

This product is a good idea, but does have limitations i.e., you cannot use a heavy lens with this product , I would use mine to photograph wildlife if it were possible, but it isn't, pity because you have to have camera and lens ready, I don't use a tripod, I track wildlife so speed is of the essence, I expect they will bring a new unit on to the scene that will work with heavy lenses after you have spent your money on the so-called pro version.

About Me Professional
Comments about SpiderPro Camera Holster Single Camera System:
I took ages to take the plunge and buy this because the price put me off! I'm so glad I did now, if you don't like cameras around your neck or across your body, or suffer with carrying weight/back aches - get this. I've done one wedding with it and now wouldn't go without.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Lots to gain, without the pain!!

About Me Hobbyist/Enthusiast
The SpiderPro Camera Holster has removed the constant swinging, bouncing and occasional bumping and banging when hanging the camera around my neck on the strap. Now it feels much more secure and comfortable attached to the belt, yet it is easy to grasp, release and bring up to a shooting position in a couple of seconds. The strain linked to the strap around my neck has gone!My only reservation is that there is possibly a greater chance of accidentally dropping the camera as there is no neck strap to "catch" it. I will investigate using a wrist strap of some sort as a bit of added security.
Fab piece of kit

I extensively researched the spider pro holster before buying and quickly found that its one of those rare products with genuinely and consistently good reviews. I'm happy to say that personal experience has confirmed that. The holster is a joy to use and makes you wonder why you ever got on without it. Having said that its not always easy to transport. The only one small gripe is that it doesn't fit very easily in a camera back-pack because of its slightly odd shape, but it will go in a regular rucksack or shoulder bag no problem. The whole system is well made with quality material and the design has obviously been thought through extremely well. All in all this holster, like a good tripod, is one of those purchases which will delight you with it's usability and probably outlast your camera.
Excellent product and quality
Yet to use in anger but very impressed so far.
Comfortable and well made.
from Bexley, Kent
This is a great way to carry a camera. I thought it a good idea to get a strong wrist strap too, as you don't really want a long neck strap dangling around your legs but equally having no strap at all on the camera felt insecure. Obviously this product is no good at all if you are wearing a long coat! For hiking in hot countries it is ideal

One of the best products I have ever come across, it is easy to use. Secure. Who ever thought of it is a genius, it is perfect for the disabled photographer.
Liked it so much I got a second one
Takes all the strain off back and neck and stops your neck sweating. Also camera will not swing around hitting objects as you bend and move
