Excellent offering from Tamron
Comments about Tamron 90mm f2.8 SP Di Macro Lens - Pentax Fit:
I've had this lens only for a week or so. It's as sharp as my KAF50 f1.4, and it is sharp from wide open. Like most macros the AF is unusable to all intents and purposes very close up, but it is very easy to focus manually. The AF limit switch is very useful. The lens hood is not required when using as a short telephoto. Although it would be considered a little long on an APS-C for portrait work I have always preferred a slightly longer lens for portraits and this does not disappoint.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Silky smooth lens
from Chelmsford, Essex
The lens was a bit bigger than I expected but it handles very well and the controls are silky smooth to use. There's an occasional problem with the autofocus not locking on if you're going from infinity to close up and you have to remember to move the focus ring to MF AND set the camera to MF, otherwise you risk damaging the gear drive.Image quality seems excellent and I'm very pleased with it overall.

My first foray into buying a non standard kit lens. Great lens pictures coming out sharp as a pin, the autofocus can hunt in low light, but manuaL FOCUSING IS A BREEZE
