A truly versatile piece of kit the WexPro Ball and Socket Flash/Umbrella Bracket has a multitude of uses. The base can fit into a cold shoe mount while removing this gives access to a reversible spigot allowing the head to be attached to tripods with either a 1/4 or 3/8 inch thread or to a lighting stand if it is removed completely. The ball and socket head can be adjusted to the desired angle and the umbrella socket will accept a shaft size of up to 8mm. The cold shoe mount at the top accepts flashguns for use off camera with an umbrella and this can be removed to allow attachment of accessories such as off-camera TTL cords with a 1/4 inch thread.

I was suprised that Wex sold such a poor quaility item. Sorry in my opion this item is not up to standards I have come to execpt from wex. too small for the job. screws do not tighten enough. Umbrella screw is a 3mm thread and is not up to the job.

Bought this umbrella head. Such poor quaility I am suprised wex even put their good name to it. The umbrella hold screw is so tiny it is hard to do it up tight. I would not trust it to hold a umbrella in shoot through. I have tried it every time I move the stand the umbrella falls out. General build is also rubbish. [...] If I could award it no stars I would. Item not fit for purpose.

Bought this flash bracket to team up with my previous one for use with my speedlites. It works really well on my lastolite background stands and keeps my flash in place.
