With the world’s first autofocus lens with built-in Macro Lite*, you can illuminate your subject. While outstanding 1.2 x magnification, means that you can now get closer than ever before.
Built in Macro Lite Technology
This EF-M series lens comes with two built-in, controllable, LED (Macro Lite). This feature provides extra illumination in front of the lens to remove unnecessary shadows, which can often be cast by you and your equipment when shooting macro photography.
At the touch of a button, you can toggle the Macro Lite between left and right side illumination, to find the right balance and achieve stunning, stylistic imagery that you wouldn’t be able to create by any other means. An ideal choice for when you want to capture close-up shots of flowers and food, as well as small objects with intricate details like jewellery.
Clever barrel design
So you can make the most of all available light, EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM is designed with a converging lens barrel, to minimise the shadow caused by the lens itself. This also provides surface contact points for steady shooting, so the lens can be used at a steep angle of 53 degrees from the surface on which the object is placed. The combination of the contact points and the use of the Macro Lite (when needed), allows you to capture detailed macro shots.
Pick up the finer details in motion
Create amazing close ups by combining the macro capabilities of the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM with EOS M's video functionality.
Perfect day-to-day lens - Easy to carry
When on the move, the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM's compact design, makes it perfect for documenting your day-to-day adventures. With precision optics and a lightweight (130 g), collapsible body, the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM is ideal for everyday photography, as well as macro. While the inclusion of UD and aspherical lens elements, means that there’s no need to compromise image quality with this lens.
Pin sharp images
Angular shake is much more pronounced in macro photography; because of this macro photography usually requires a steady tripod. However, the Hybrid Image Stabilizer in EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM is specifically designed to help minimize both angular and shift camera shake. Giving you more flexibility to respond to your subject if it moves or changes position, ensuring crisp images when shooting macro subjects.
Create much more than macro
With features that are designed specifically for macro photography, this lens is also flexible enough for everyday photography uses. With a wide aperture of f/3.5 and a 35mm equivalent focal length of approx. 44.8mm (due to mirrorless cameras having cropped sensors), you can shoot with a natural angle of view and perspective for a variety of snapshots.
This day-to-day lens is also great for portrait photography, especially with the combination of Hybrid Image Stabilizer and the wide 7 bladed circular aperture. You can easily achieve portrait shots that draw the eye to focus on the detail you want, with the subject separated from a background that is beautifully smooth. You can even use Macro Lite to add a spark to your subject’s eyes.
Smooth, steady movies
The near-silent STM (stepping motor) technology in the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM helps you to create high quality movies by delivering steady and quiet continuous focusing. This allows you to capture only the ambient sounds without the noise of a focusing motor.

Can I repay early? If so how?
No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.
What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?
Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.
What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?
Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan.
