The DJI Ronin 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal has been developed for the filmmaking professional. Custom built ultra-fast processors, extremely accurate sensors, and advanced algorithms, together with 3 different modes of operation ensures a significantly easier experience when framing wide-angle or close scenes and gives a single user the ability to transform their movies with smooth tilt and pan movements and stabilised camera angle changes. Made from precision machined aircraft-grade aluminium, the DJI Ronin Handheld Gimbal will keep up with the demands of rigorous handheld use in trying environments. The Ronin is not customised for any specific camera and can be easily adjusted to carry everything from Micro Four Thirds cameras to heavier systems like Red Epic.
DJI - Introducing the Ronin
3-Axis Stabilised Handheld Gimbal System
Developed for the filmmaking professional, the DJI Ronin marks a generational leap in camera stabilisation technology. Its custom sensors, powerful motors and advanced algorithms put world-class precision in your hands.
Save Time on Set
Once your camera is configured, the Ronin can be ready to shoot in as little as 5 minutes, saving time and increasing efficiency on set. The built-in ATS (Auto Tune Stability) technology intelligently tunes Ronin to your camera rig at the touch of a button.
Tool Free Adjustment
A built-in balance adjustment system means no tools are needed for setup and adjustment. Changing the setup for different camera arrangements is quick and simple.
Transform tilt and pan movements on the Ronin into smooth and stabilised camera angle changes.
3 Operation Modes
3 different modes of operation allow the Ronin to be used in different scenarios, all of which can be entered without changing settings on the Ronin Assistant app or a 2nd operator remote. SmoothTrack functionality remains in all three modes.
Extremely Durable, High Build Quality
Made from precision machined aircraft-grade aluminum, the Ronin offers the durability to withstand rugged use on set and meets the high demand for reliability. No loose cables or zip ties give it a clean, professional appearance.
Flip the gimbal over to bring the camera closer to eye level for a higher perspective without straining to lift it. Use this mode when sticking the Ronin out of a car’s sunroof or when trying to shoot over a crowd of people.
The default gimbal operation is the Underslung mode. The camera can be comfortably held low to the ground, at chest level or anywhere in between. This mode is also used when the Ronin is suspended from a camera jib or crane.
When a slimmer gimbal profile is needed, i.e. when moving through doorways or narrow paths, Briefcase mode is ideal. It allows the gimbal to be held to the side and close to the legs, much like a briefcase.
2nd Operator Controller
An included 2nd operator transmitter allows a 2nd operator to pan, tilt, and roll independent of the Ronin’s movement. SmoothTrack speeds and operation modes can be assigned with 2 custom toggle switches on the transmitter.
High Torque, Precision Controlled Motors
Motors have been developed with the high performance Ronin in mind. Using FOC control, you can count on high precision, low vibration, and increased torque. Digital Absolute Positioning Encoders in each axis provide the highest levels of accuracy. This combination of custom motor modules and features is found in no other system.
Built-in Receiver & Remote Control
A built-in DJI receiver allows the Ronin to be remotely controlled by a 2nd operator. The gimbal operator can focus on gimbal movement while the 2nd operator pays attention to camera movement. 2nd operator mode is also useful for gimbal control when working with flying platforms for aerial cinematography. A D-Bus port is also included if a non-DJI receiver is required. *Compatible with Futaba FASST remote control.
High Performance Processing Power
A customised, advanced 32-bit floating point DSP processor offers more efficiency than an ARM processor, for faster processing of signals from the onboard encoders.
Mobile Bluetooth Assistant Software
The feature-rich iOS DJI Assistant software allows easy setup of all system configurations. The PC Assistant also provides control of all the Ronin’s functionalities in addition to firmware upgrades for future features.
Supports a Multitude of Cameras and Lenses

Can I repay early? If so how?
No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.
What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?
Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.
What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?
Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan.
