The Hitech 100 x 125mm Graduated Neutral Density 0.3 Hard Edge Filter is a professional quality graduated 1 stop (2x) ND filter with hard edged graduation, making it ideally suited to landscape shots with flat horizons. Hitech 100 Neutral Density Graduated filters enable the shooter to adjust exposure without affecting colour balance. For example, when photographing landscapes in which the sky is much brighter than the foreground, placing the neutral density part of the filter onto the sky in the frame will reduce the sky exposure without affecting the foreground. This enables cloud detail to be kept correctly exposed in the picture. These 100x125mm filters fit in the Lee filter holder and are manufactured from the highest quality optical grade polyester resin.

Graduated Neutral Density main features

Neutral density graduated camera filters (also known as ND grads) are clear in the bottom half with a gradual transition to the ND effect in the top half of the filter. They produce a grey neutral tone and are used to reduce light, enabling more control over exposure and depth of field without affecting colour or contrast. Neutral Density graduated filters are primarily used for light reduction in skylines or landscape photographs.
