The Pentax PF 65 EDA II Angled Spotting Scope features a lightweight and compact magnesium alloy body construction that is packed with a lens that uses extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements to ensure maximum resolution and minimum chromatic aberration. On off-road walking trails you're often limited in the amount of equipment that you can carry over long distances. The one compromise you do not want to make is in viewing performance – the Pentax PF-65 range is the perfect answer. These spotting scopes were designed with light weight and compact specifications as a high priority. However, you can still expect the best, such as an ED objective lens, SMC lens coatings and a magnesium alloy body. The conveniently placed focusing wheel sits in the centre of the scope for easy reach and the durable rubber armoured body provides plenty of grip and maximum protection.

Features of the Pentax PF 65 EDA II Angled Spotting Scope

  • Lightweight and compact magnesium alloy body construction
  • Extra-low Dispersion (ED) objective lens system combined with lanthanum glass elements for maximum resolution and minimum chromatic aberration
  • Easy to reach centrally positioned focusing wheel
  • Durable rubber armored body provides maximum protection and grip
  • Multi adjustable tripod socket with a rotating mechanism with locking screw allowing variable viewing positions
  • Delivered with field-usage carrying case and PENTAX warranty
  • Available in 45° angle (EDAII) and straight design (EDII)

1.25 Inch Eyepiece Connector:
The large-sized 31.7mm (1.25 Inch) eyepiece connector will give you a serious advantage. This sizable connector allows you to use high-end eyepieces that provide clear, brighter and sharper (edge to edge) images. The large receptacle also provides you with a fundamentally more stable basis to use your spotting scope for photography.

Inner focusing:
The InnerFocus function is critical to low maintenance and long life guarantee. Expose to airborne particles and moisture is avoided, thereby ensuring that no out-side influences can penetrate the binocular housing and interrupt functionality.

Nitrogen purged:
Nitrogen is a colourless, odourless and tasteless chemical element. It contains little humidity and is therefore used to "purge" binoculars and spotting scopes of the high-humidity air that is part of our environment. Due to the low humidity factor, nitrogen prevents condensation from forming in the internal lenses of optical instruments during phases of rapid temperature change. Also, because nitrogen is purged into the optical instrument at slightly above atmospheric pressure, dust and other minuscule particles are prevented from entering the housing.

SMC multi layering lens coating:
The Pentax smc lens coating is renowned in the industry. Not only does this coating improve contrast and resolution - it also optimises light-transmission throughout the whole light spectrum, thereby allowing well-balances and colour correct image representation.

Functional high-tech design:
Pentax spotting scope are built from solid yet lightweight magnesium-alloy with full body rubber armouring. A built-in retractable lens shade cuts excessive light and protects against the weather elements, and standard on all scopes. No need to worry about the rain anyway, and the PF bodies are fully water-proof and nitrogen purged, to JIS 6 standards.

ED Objective with Lanthanum Lens Elements:
The ultimate challenge when building top optics is to reproduce the image free from colour errors. Several techniques are available but by far the best result can be achieved by using ED (or extra-low dispersion) glass in the objective lens, in combination with Lanthanum glass. ED-lenses have a high breaking index with minimal dispersion. All Pentax spotting scopes use ED-objective elements in combination with lanthanum glass.

Can I repay early? If so how?

No repayments are scheduled in the initial six-month deferral period. However, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, but a £29.00 early-settlement will be incurred. Such repayments may be made to Barclays Partner Finance by cheque, debit card or standing order. Unfortunately it is not possible to set up a direct debit within the deferral period. Further information on how to make such repayments will be set out in the loan agreement pack provided by Barclays Partner Finance.

What happens if I don't repay within the first six months (deferral period)?

Following the six month deferral period, Barclays Partner Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 19.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Late payment penalties and early repayment charges will apply from this point. Barclays Partner Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six month deferral period is due to elapse. Note: If you chose to spread the cost and pay monthly, interest is charged from the start of the loan, not from the start of the repayment period.

What will I receive from the finance provider (lender)?

Barclays Partner Finance will send a loan agreement pack approximately four weeks after delivery of the goods, confirming that the account has been activated and, from this point, it is possible to make repayments against the loan.
