Which two seasons? Winter and Summer.
In Summer there's no breeze and in Winter you're indoors (aren't you?) so you can tiptoe around it and ban the kids from running.
In Autumn it's too windy and in Spring you'll be too fancyfree and forget to look after it.
This stand is Lightweight: at full height with a flash head it needs care; it won't stand up to abuse and it will fall over in a breeze. But I reccomend it because in the studio, if you're careful, it delivers great value and quality for the price.

I purchased two of these for use with speedlights. I use them with Lastolite Tiltheads supporting Nikon SB900s and PocketWizard Flex TT5 transceivers and shoot-through umbrellas. No issues after limited use. The reach is very good at just over 3 m. They also collapse down well and so can be used to light at waist level.

Very fragile bit of kit - I bought two of these and both have broken on their first outing. The clips to tighten the stands are very cheap plastic and break with only a little pressure. Very disappointing.

I use three studio flash units and I bought the stands many years ago. The locking clasps are plastic, and on two of the stands have broken. I purchased one of these stands to evaluate it and am very pleased with it. It is light, sturdy and solid, and excellent value for money. The locking clasps are aluminium, so won't become brittle in time as with the plasic ones; exactly what I wanted. I will be buying two more to complete my kit.

the compact light stand is just that, compact and light. folds away great to store and easy to carry around. ive used this light stand with a flashgun and and big umbrella and it has never fallen over, caution is taken with setting up at a big height but no problems at all. ive also use this light stand with just the flash gun out on the sea front on a slope that boats use to get in the water and it was very very stable.

.....its compact its made by Bowens and its a light stand.
Not too heavy so easy to carry and fairly sturdy (although I wouldn't want to use it in heavy wind) for an entry level requirement to pop a studio light on it's fine.

This is the 1st stand I got, and its very good. It goes very high and the legs make it stand up very well, even on a windy day.
