The Depssi Card Blue card for 1.5x and 1.6x DSLR Sensors is a handy guide/reference card that has two functions; It enables the photographer to quickly select the ‘hyperfocal’ distance for different lenses (or zoom settings) using various apertures, and -as a bonus- the reverse side of the card gives the angles/positions of sunrise and sunset for every month.

DX lenses do not give away lot of information about expected depth of field so I am using this card's information as a work around to avoid autofocus hunting at very shallow depths of field.

If you need to maximise depth of field, this handy little calculator is a godsend. It tells you where to focus for a range of lens / aperture combinations enabling you to hit that hyperfocal spot & get the maximum amount of the shot in focus.
A bargain piece of kit that any photographer should have.
