The Fuji XF27mm X-mount lens with fast f/2.8 aperture is ideal for portraiture and everyday shooting. The f2.8 aperture broadens users’ scope in low-light environments and allows a shallow depth of field to be created with a beautiful background bokeh effect. Weighing only 78g and measuring 23mm in length, this truly is a portable lens that delivers great picture quality in a wide range of scenes including landscapes, portrait, night scenes, gigs and your everyday snaps. Comments about Fuji 27mm f2.8 XF Lens - Black:
I decided to try out the FujiX-trans sensor and so got the cheapest kit that would allow me to do that; the X-M1 with this 27mm lens and the 16-50 zoom and a free 50-230zoom.I tried the wide zoom but found the focus a bit slow and haven't got round to using the long zoom because , well, this little set up is rather wonderfulthe 27mm lens is close to a 'normal' lens (50mm equiv) and allows me with its compact form to have a dinky but very high quality camera to take anywhere. It's small enough to fit in a small bag or large pocket, and I have found I have been getting really very sharp images indeed , much better than I expected. This little lens is unobtrusive and sharp. It really has very good resolution, if not excellent, e.g.Grandson's eye lashes are as good as my 21MP FF camera shots and 50mm lens.A tiny lens it performs well with reasonably quick focus, not as fast as a DSLR but good enough for family and fun.My only quibble is that I'd prefer the AOV to be nearer the FF (135) equivalent of 50mm, I find it a bit wide, nearer 35mm equivalent on FF,.Since putting this lens in the X-M1 I haven't taken t off and may just keep it that way.

Fuji 27mm f2.8 XF lens
About Me Casual user, Hobbyist/Enthusiast
This lens is great to have in your kitbag... It's lightweight and can be the lens that stays on the camera for most photography. It becomes equivalent to a 40.5mm lens on the X Series cameras. It produces very good results and it's only downside, for me, was its price. I thought it a little expensive for a prime lens compared to other popular camera marques

Very nice lens
Nice image quality and fairly wide aperture, but best feature is, it makes the X-E1 / X-M1 like a pocket size compact. The only problem is, the quality of the XF 18-55mm is so good, I don't use this one much.
Lovely little lens
About Me Professional
Good little lens - fast enough for most situations. The equivalent focal length of 41mm on the crop sensor is a very useful length for daily photography.

Fuji 27mm lens
The lens quality is very good producing excellent large prints. Being so small it turns my X-T1 almost into a pocket camera. Really miss aperture ring which is confusing when changing from my other Fuji lenses.

Great performance, amazingly small!
from Hebden Bridge
This is a lovely little go anywhere lens, it's so small and unobtrusive while being incredibly sharp. It doesn't have amazing bokeh and it's fairly hard to get much subject separation, but otherwise it's hard to fault. Perfect for street or travel photography. It's equivalent to around 40mm on full frame which I find is more useful than the more common 50mm.

Fujifilm 27mm 2.8 mm XF Lens
Ordinary photographs taken mainly on holidayAlthough the lens is reasonable as a 'pancake ' lens it is not very wide angle and I much prefer my 18 - 55 mm lens which gives the same quality.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
