The Fuji X-Pro1 is a highly advanced mirror-less camera that features a newly developed 16 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor which is capable of delivering resolution that is parallel to a full-frame sensor. The solid, retro design includes a textured rubberised hand grip and a convenient Hybrid Multi Viewfinder which allows you to instantly switch between an Optical Viewfinder (OVF) and an Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). Choose the view to suit your style of shooting - the OVF provides a bright image with minimal shutter lag and the EVF presents you with information such as the exposure, white balance, and DOF indicators for quick manual adjustments. The camera also includes an ISO range from 100-25,600, Manual control, Continuous shooting of up to 6fps, RAW + JPEG shooting and a powerful EXR processor. More
January 2012 - "Since the Fuji X100 was launched to an incredible response over a year ago, the question on many people’s lips has been: when will the X-series add an interchangeable lens camera to its lineup? Well it’s here and it’s more than just an interchangeable lens version of the X100, it’s an impressive camera in its own right. " Read more about the Fujifilm X-Pro1 here...
Hybrid Multi Viewfinder
Featuring the freedom to switch between an optical and electronic viewfinder, the Hybrid Viewfinder has evolved to meet the challenge of interchangeable lenses. When an XF series lens is mounted, lens data are communicated to X-Pro1, and viewfinder magnification (2 types) and frame size (multiple steps) are automatically switched. Peering through the viewfinder with all your attention focused on the subject. This simple style of shooting is the both the first step back to the essential pleasure of photography. Every lens change reveals a new world of beauty to capture.
Moiré is tackled at its root cause by the revolutionary X-Trans CMOS sensor's color filter array. By enhancing aperiodicity (randomness) in the array arrangement, the color filter minimizes generation of both moiré and false colors, eliminating the necessity for an optical low-pass filter in the lens and enabling X-Trans CMOS sensor to capture full “unfiltered” lens performance.
The EXR Processor Pro is supported by an integrated co-processor for higher speed and higher precision image processing performance.
Designed especially for the X-Pro1, the FUJINON XF Lens series promises enhanced resolution and light volume in image edge areas as well as reduced chromatic aberration for exceptional image quality. Featuring an all-glass aspherical lens and other elements, the lens is polished to perfection and treated with Super EBC coating. Holding the high-quality metal barrel and operating the precision-machined 1/3-step aperture ring is a sensation that fires the desire to capture every scene. For photographers who seek the peak of photographic excellence, FUJIFILM raises the curtain on a new era of interchangeable lenses and unveils a premium lineup of 3 single-focal length lenses.
Taking full advantage of the mirrorless design, the mount boasts a short 17.7mm flange back distance, a wider opening and deeper mounting of the lens, resulting in reduction of back focus distance to the minimum possible while achieving high resolution extending to the image edge areas. When a FUJINON XF lens is mounted, all lens information is instantly communicated to the body, integrating them into a seamless, responsive instrument.

About Me Professional
Comments about Fuji X-Pro1 Black Digital Camera Body:
Having bought this camera from WEX Photographic with an 18mm F2 and a 27mm f2.8 lens as a special offer, and based on some serious research into most of the reviews available, I have to say that I more than pleased with my decision. A superb camera from a superb supplier. It will be going with me wherever I go from now on, with spare batteries of course. I used it alongside my regular DSLR on a professional job recently and am delighted with the results.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A little gem
About Me Semi-Professional
The Fuji X-Pro 1 has become my 'go to camera' for day to day personal shooting. I've not yet unleashed it on a professional job yet, but the only thing that is stopping me from doing just that is my limited range of lenses (just 2 primes - 18mm and 35mm). The quality of the images this camera produces are astounding. High ISO, low ISO, the results are more than usable. I remember the days when you were expecting grain/noise at 400iso. I regularly use the Fuji at 6400 and it looks like old school 400iso. I've shot thousands of images using the Fuji since I bought it in March. It's been my almost constant companion. It does take some work to get the best out of it, but that makes the use of the camera all the more joyful. This isn't a point and click. It's a proper piece of photographic kit. It can do snaps, but hone your technique, choose your settings wisely and boy, does it deliver! It's in built jpeg processing is very good indeed, but old habits do keep me to shooting both RAW and jpeg and processing the Raw's in Capture One Pro. Haven't really found a real weak spot yet. OK the focussing is a bit sluggish at times, but you can easily get over that by going manual, which is really easy to use and the Exposure Compensation dial is a little too easy to move, but again, when you are aware, you automatically check and to be honest the rare occasion I didn't immediately notice it had moved, the RAW files hold so much detail, it wasn't an issue! If you are used to lugging about kilo's of kit but think you won't get acceptable results from a little camera, you need to check the Fuji's out! They are very good indeed.

Lives up to all the hype of the X series
By Derek the Tog

I first came across a Fuji Digital in about 2001 when I was going on a long holiday break and didn't fancy carrying a big bag full of Film gear.Bought a Fuji bridge camera and a bunch of memory cards and went off travelling in Europe. After a lifetime of Canon, Pentax & Olympus gear it was a bit of a shock to meet the Fuji way of doing things. The X-Pro 1 shows that Fuji still do things differently than everyone else.Compared to my Canon 5D DSLR the menu and proliferation of knobs and buttons have lead me a merry dance trying to find out how to set things up and constant reference to the web and the excellent book by Rico Pfirstinger, Mastering the Fujifilm x-Pro 1, I am getting to grips with the more complex actions that I could do one handed on the Canons. There is no doubt that the images I've got from it so far have been wonderful. I'm shooting jpg + Raw but so far, I've not needed the additional features of the RAF files. The more I use it, the more confident I'm getting and will put it to great use when I embark on a holiday in a couple of week's time.

Great camera and good cash back offer
Much more discreet than DSLR making it easier to capture moments where subjects would be put off by a larger camera.

Happy with my X-Pro1
I treated myself to this as I wanted to capture my family without lugging my larger gear around with me. The low light images I'm getting are great.I am having to 'think' about the focus, I'm missing some shots...Overall, it's great, light on the shoulder and with the offers available at the moment its great. I'm now beginning to use it on 'paid' shoots.
I've been wanting one of these for awhile and yet always spent any 'spare' cash on investing in day to day gear. This is great for down time and enjoying taking pictures for the love of making images. So far I've captured low light shots of my young family which I know I'll cherish forever. Its now with me all the time and recommend one to anyone who's just thinking of getting one.
Great camera to use, but if you're coming down from an a SLR things are a bit fiddly at first. Also, Fuji if you read this please do something with the exposure compensation dial, all i do is catch it with my thumb! Having said all that it really is a great piece of kit and I'm glad i bought it.
fantastic and great to use
