The Lastolite All in One Umbrella Kit is now available with the Hotshoe Tilthead Shoelock. The Tilthead Shoe Lock features an adjustable ‘screw locking’ shoe mount which offers an additional locking mechanism as well as accommodating variances in the dimensions of the hotshoe from one flashgun to another. The kit comes in two sizes featuring either a 80cm (34”) or 100cm (40”) Lastolite All in One umbrella. The kit includes the All in One umbrella, 4 section stand, the new Hotshoe Tilthead Shoelock and padded shoulder bag. The All in One umbrella can be used as a silver or white bounce, a silver and white bounce or shoot through.

What a great package. For those people who shoot on location but can't use larger lighting kits and batteries. This item all comes in a nice padded kit bag which is just under 90cm long, and weights around the weight of a medium tripod I believe. I can't imagine the strap on the bag breaking at any point as the contents is not all that heavy.

The light stand gets to around three metres and gets a bit wobbly at its full height, but that is to be expected really. Apart from that the stand is great. The section locks are strong, the pneumatic element is ideal for anyone who wants to look after whatever they have mounted on the stand. If a section lock does come undone for what ever reason, the section slowly glides down, rather than slamming down.

The tilt-head is rigid and weighty, but in a good way. Just holding it in your hand you can tell it's a firm bit of kit that will hold your expensive flash gun and umbrella attachment in place. It fits to the light stand via a heavy duty spigot which comes with the kit.

The umbrella is simple enough. I've only really used the silver part of the umbrella, but I have tried taking part of the lining out as a test and it's easy enough. Most people shouldn't have a problem with it. The 100cm umbrella is a little large for me when indoors, but outdoors on location it's ideal.
