Great Monopod Head
About Me Semi-Professional
This is a great little head that works extremely well with my 70 -200mm 2.8 lens
Simple and effective - does the job

Used a few times for bird photography. Easy to carry around fixed to a monopod and the camera. Provides stability (with the monopod) and enables fast camera positioning
take it or leve it it as good as that

small and extremly handy
Useful head for monopods
Useful alternative to a ball head for a monopod. Fits the bill for most circumstances. Allows you to use your feet and the monopod to make a pretty stable tripod.
Nice and light fits in the pocket
Easy to use, holds the camera well .

I have put this on my monopod & it is great to use
A basic but useful little bit of kit. Some people conplain about the lack of a quick release plate; I didn't find this an issue.
No release plate

Wish I had bought the RC2, quick release plate, version

Just add a QR Plate for versatility
I got this free with the Manfrotto 680B Compact Monopod. I really wanted a quick release, so I just took it for the sake of it, and also got the Manfrotto 234RC Monopod Tilt Head with Quick Release. Both heads can tilt to orientate the camera in portrait, and their construction is pretty much identical (apart from the plate).I'm using this setup mainly with a Sony 70-400G, which has a lens collar for switching to portrait mode, so I found I didn't need the monopod head to tilt in that direction. What I did need, however, was to be able to tilt up and down - the 234RC couldn't do this, unless I used the QR plate long ways, which has less contact with the bottom of my camera, so it less stable. So, I took a Manfrotto 323 Rectangular Quick Release Plate, mounted it on the free 234 in the orientation I wanted, and now I have a vertically tilting monopod head with quick release. I'm very, very happy with this setup.
