Strong , sturdy and great value .
Bought this to help support my lens when shooting for a long time, it is very easy to use and attaches easily to the lens. I did purchase the tilt head, which i believe is worth doing. I feel this product is made well , robust and great value for the money.

ONLY THE BEST WILL DO
I used to have a Velbon UP-4000 mono-pod but it was to light-weight to us with my Nikon D600 fitted with my Nikon MB-D14 Battery-grip and attached to my AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8G ED VR11 lens and AFS TC-20E 111 tele-converter.The Manfrotto 680B mono-pod and Manfrotto 234 mono-pod tilt head does the job much better and is more stable for all the extra weight of my photographic equipment.

Well, I'm not sure where the 'compact' bit of the name comes from as this monopod is quite a size, even when folded. So, if you have visions of throwing this into a manbag or similar then you might want something else. However, on balance it feels light considering how sturdy it is. It has a fairly large diameter which means you can get a good hold on it. The clasps are also chunky enough that I have been able to operate them with gloves on.I think due to the size this is one of those monopods that you take out expecting to use (such as for an event) rather than having just in case. However, when you do need it then it works flawlessly and can support some large lenses (I was using a Nikon 200-400 with no problems)
sturdy and does the job
About Me Professional
Great monopod to leave in your tripod bag, it gets me out of trouble in situations where lighting is low but not low enough to warrant a tripod.
Used mostly for sport & nature when you need a prop but not a tripod.Slightly awkward opening hence only 4 stars.
Good basic quality that is very affordable and durable.
absolutly flipn ace, simple as that.
