This new addition to the Minox spotting 'scope range measures only 235mm long and weighs just 615g making it an excellent product for those who require a small quality spotting scope that is also ideal for travelling.
The new Minox MD-50 features a 50mm objective lens and comes complete with a 16-30x zoom eyepiece with twist-up eyecup to allow spectacle wearers a full field of view, barrel focussing on the body, rotatable tripod mount for ease of use when in a hide, and a protective carrying case.
The telescope has a fully waterproofed body down to a depth of 5m and is gas purged to prevent internal fogging during temperature fluctuations.
The MD 50 features the M* lens multi coating first used on the Minox HG High Grade binoculars for high light transmission and excellent contrast with natural colour rendition and will focus down to 5m.
Its overall dimensions of just 213 x 63 x 123mm make it the ideal 'travel scope' where size and weight can be an important factor and to this end it can be easily mounted and used on a shoulder pod such as the Cullmann 0080 which would almost negate the need for a tripod on your travels, thus saving even more space and weight in your suitcase.
